I woke this morning later than I wanted.  I had hoped to go for a quick run on my last morning but it wasn’t meant to be.  I jumped in the shower and had a cold one.  I got one wave of hot water and then it was cold the rest of the shower.  I imagine it will not be my last on this trip.  After a quick breakfast, I took my things to the lounge and met up with Brian and Anne.  We waited for our airport shuttles and chatted.

The airport in Rapa Nui is small and modest – probably the most I’ve been to so far.  But, LAN is so efficient.  There was an actual check in line (unlike for Gol).  Of course, with one flight a day, it’s hard to mess it up.  We had a quick cup of coffee and then boarded.  I crossed my fingers and got lucky again!  Yes, I got the upgrade.  I was actually supposed to sit right behind Brian and Anne (just coincidence).  But, I took the upgrade so that Brian could recline in his seat on the flight back to Santiago.  Really, it was a purely altruistic move.  Let me just say – I love LAN!  And, not just because they keep upgrading me.  Everything runs well from check-in to baggage claim.  Now, I was told that yesterday’s plane to Santiago was delayed.  But, so far so good for me.

I will get in around 8PM tonight and then it’s back to the real world – or my so-called life anyway.  It’s back to school and I’ll have just a few days left in Santiago.
